About Printer Precision Review
An independent, editorially driven printer publication committed to honest, data-backed reviews and practical guidance.
Our Mission
Printer Precision Review was founded in 2017 with a single mission: to give consumers and businesses the honest, in-depth information they need to make confident printer purchasing decisions — without manufacturer bias, affiliate pressure, or editorial shortcuts.
We are an informational blog that publishes printer guides, troubleshooting tutorials, and printer reviews. Every piece of content we publish is written by people who have physically used and tested the printers they write about. We do not accept payment for favorable coverage, and our review scores are determined solely by our standardized testing benchmarks.
Since our founding, we have reviewed over 340 printers, published more than 1,200 articles, and helped millions of readers choose the right printer, fix a frustrating problem, or get more from the device they already own.
Our Testing Methodology
Purchase and Unbox
We purchase every printer we review at full retail price from standard consumer channels. No review samples, no manufacturer loans. This ensures we test the same product you would buy.
Standardized Benchmark Testing
Each printer is tested against our fixed benchmark suite: 20-page black text document, 10-page mixed-color document, ISO photo test suite, and duplex speed test. All tests are run three times and averaged.
Cost-Per-Page Measurement
We calculate real-world cost per page using official ink yields and current retail prices for replacement cartridges or refill bottles — not manufacturer-quoted ISO figures.
30-Day Real-World Use
Beyond benchmarking, we use each printer for at least 30 days in a realistic environment to assess reliability, software stability, connectivity consistency, and overall long-term experience.
Score Calculation
Each printer receives a score from 1 to 10 across five dimensions — Print Quality, Print Speed, Cost Per Page, Connectivity, and Ease of Use. The final score is a weighted average with Print Quality and Cost Per Page carrying higher weight for most categories.
